Congratulations to R + J who tied the knot at one of Maui’s most beautiful intimate wedding venues Gather in Maui, Wailea.

Traveling from Washington this lovely couple and fifty of their closest family members + friends flew out to Maui to witness these two say “ I do”. The wedding day started out with the ladies having a Barbie pink getting ready party at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club in Kihei. Early 2000’s classics and Taylor Swift were on the playlist while R prepped. While the ladies had their indoor hang out the gentlemen hit the basketball courts to shoot some hoops. With basketball being an important part of J’s life the groom requested a very fun out of the box idea of his getting ready images to be at a basketball court with his groomsmen - What an incredible way to incorporate a passion into a wedding day !

The ceremony itself took place on the gorgeous lawn of Gather in Maui with the ocean sparkling behind the ceremony set up. Tears were shed along with laughter from sweet speeches given by the couple’s family during their ceremony. Once concluded the couple had their intimate portraits taken on a beach called Palauea Beach which is conveniently located less than five minutes away from the wedding venue. Lighting was perfect and the sunset was an absolute dream , the perfect end to R + J’s wedding day.

The reception took place on the courtyard of Gather in Maui with string lights casting a soft glow. Shaved ice was served as well as some incredible dance moves out on the dance floor. Being big animal lovers the couple opted out from a traditional bouquet toss for one that instead included a stuffed animal cat + dog which symbolized adopting a pet from a local animal shelter for whoever caught each.
