Engagement sessions are about slowing down and capturing the season you’re in , the in-between moments before the wedding day unfolds. Whether you’re exchanging vows in Hawai’i, planning a celebration in California, or traveling somewhere meaningful together, your engagement session is designed to feel natural, personal, and unhurried.
I photograph engagements all across Maui and the Hawaiian islands, throughout Southern California , and wherever your story takes you.

Proposals are incredibly meaningful and they deserve to be thoughtfully planned, not rushed or improvised.
For couples dreaming of a beautifully styled moment, I strongly recommend working with a local planner or florist who can design the setting, secure the location, and handle all the moving pieces. This allows your proposal to feel effortless, intentional, and fully present — and it allows me to do what I do best : document it artfully and honestly.
I most often photograph proposals that take place at :
styled setups designed by florists or planners
locations where everything is ready when you arrive, all you have to do is show up
private venues / resorts with intimate engagement spaces
Once the proposal is complete, we’ll transition into a relaxed, stunning engagement session to capture all the joy and emotion that naturally follows that “yes”.
If you’re unsure where to begin, I’m always happy to connect you with trusted planners and florists I love working alongside so your experience feels seamless from start to finish.
I intentionally limit proposal coverage to thoughtfully planned experiences, allowing me to give my full creative attention to the imagery itself.

Gaylin is a great photographer! My husband and I did a couples photoshoot when visiting Maui on vacation and enjoyed the whole time! Gaylin is super easy to work with and provided a lot of details along the way in the process leading up to the photoshoot day. She was very descriptive, a good communicator, and provided information about the photoshoot location, parking, outfit ideas, photo download instructions, etc. All of this was super helpful, and I very much appreciated it! During the photo session, she gave us prompts that made it fun! Gaylin was also very quick in the turnaround time for the sneak peeks and the full photo gallery. My husband and I love all of the photos and are so happy we got to work with Gaylin when we were in Maui! We have beautiful photos on the beach and with island vibes, and we are grateful for those memories!
