San Diego Couples Photoshoot | North Park

Hawaii may have some beautiful beaches but California is truly a photographers playground with all of the incredible locations it has to offer !

I had first been introduced to J in Maui while working in the Lahaina harbor six years ago together. After 2020 J made the move to San Diego, California where she met P. The pair has been together for several years now so of course when visiting San Diego included in our coffee catch up date I photographed two rolls of medium format film with these two. We had grabbed a bite at Communal Coffee in North Park San Diego that had the cutest little nursery right next door which made for the perfect setting for a quick couples photoshoot. MY GOODNESS that California sunlight, a couple in love, and plants equals a chef’s kiss for a beautiful session.

Though I am based in Hawaii with being from Southern California area I am often in Orange County or San Diego county for work or a Del Taco fix ( I know..strange…but when you live on an island the trade off for paradise is missing some food joints on the mainland ). My suitcase sits at the front of my closet - quite literally - ready to go at anytime. With how frequently I am in the Golden State or flying to other parts of the globe my travel fees are often waived.
